Our Story
Born in Japan. Built for the Night.
Born in Japan — Hana Tabi is built on real connections, genuine local knowledge, and a belief that the best evenings are the ones you couldn't have planned yourself.
The Story
Born from a Love of Meaningful Travel
I'm Hana — born in Japan. Travel has never been something I just do. It's something I know from the inside.
With experience in international travel agencies, I've learned what makes an evening feel effortless — and what separates a night worth remembering from one that just fills a calendar.
That experience gave me something most tour companies can't offer: genuine, on-the-ground knowledge of Tokyo. The backstreet izakaya, the bars with no sign above the door, the places you'd never find on your own — these aren't spots I've read about. They're places I have real connections in.
Hana Tabi was built for travelers who want more than a guidebook crawl. No oversized tour groups, no rigid checklists — just a small, private evening of food and cocktails, planned by someone who genuinely knows where to go.
Each evening is arranged by me and led on the ground by a trusted local guide — small groups, real neighborhoods, and exactly the kind of night you couldn't book yourself.

What We Stand For
Our Values
Deeply Local
Our guides live in the cities they show you. They know the bartenders by name, speak the language, and know which nights each bar is at its best.
Rigorously Curated
Every venue on our tours has been personally vetted. We maintain close relationships with each one, and remove any bar that drops its standard.
Small Groups Only
Maximum six guests per tour. No crowds, no rushing — just an intimate, unhurried evening with people who share your curiosity.
Flexible by Design
Full evening planned for you, or just one bar recommendation — we offer the full range. You tell us what you need; we fill exactly that gap.
Memories, Not Itineraries
We're not selling a schedule. We're creating the kind of evening you'll still be talking about years from now.
